Currently, I am studying for my CompTIA A+ certification, followed by the CompTIA Network+ certification. After these base certifications are completed, I will focus on the Microsoft Azure certifications (AZ-104) and further advanced cloud and security certifications as well
The Cloud
During my education into Microsoft Azure, I have learned to setup and use virtual networks and virtual machines, the later of which, running Windows server to learn its capabilities specifically, Active Directory. I have also learned to use Entra ID (Azure AD) and Identity and Access Management (IAD).
Networking
I am running a small home network, utilizing a Cisco 1911 Gigabit Router and a Cisco Catalyst WS-2960-LPS Gigabit switch to better understand enterprise networking and how these systems work. I will also be using these devices to segment the network into different VLANs based on how each device accesses the internet as well as any potential security risk they pose.
About Me
Most important to me is my family. I am fortunate enough to be a husband to a wonderful wife and father to three amazing boys. My family is my world and it is for them that I strive to do anything to further myself personally and professionally each and every day. This is aided by my love of learning. I am always reading about and learning new information to use in my life and career. My wife, eldest son and I also spend time volunteering when we can, especially with our local Little League when the kids' aren't playing their games to support their league as well as coaching my sons' teams to participate in their endeavors.
